Thank you for entering the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2015 competition.
We’re halfway through judging, and are delighted to say that one or more of your submissions has been selected for the Final Round.
Please would you now send us the original camera and high resolution files by 11.30am (BST) on 10 April 2015. Original files will be checked for authenticity, and high resolution files for printing suitability.
To see which of your entries has been selected please sign in to your account and select the ‘Upload original and high resolution files’ button. You will then need to:
1) Upload your RAW or original JPEG file
If your entry has been created from more than one original (eg stitched images) please ensure all files are uploaded
DNG files are only permitted if DNG is the native RAW format of the camera
Scan entrants should post their original transparency or negative to the WPY Competition Office (see address below)
TIMElapse entrants should post a DVD or USB stick with their original files to the WPY Competition Office (see address below). If the original files are too large to fit on a DVD, please include representative frames, raw files or clips from each section.
2) Upload your high-resolution file (preferably TIFF)
The file should be 8-bit, Adobe RGB (1998) at full resolution, and match the colour and cropping of the JPEG submitted at entry. Please do not upscale.
This file will be used for printing in all formats if the image is successful.
For the TIMElaspe Award, a still from your clip may be used in our printed material. Please choose and upload a single frame as a high resolution file (specification as above).
3) Ensure that the caption information you have provided is complete and accurate, and includes the following:
Image description (behaviour observed; background story; exact location; if any bait was used, and if so, of what nature (eg at a baiting site); if the species is of scientific interest)
Any post-processing beyond lens profiles, colour temperature, dust spotting, global and local saturation and exposure changes, sharpening and cropping.
Good luck!
