Smart hydrophobic surface modified interface photocatalysts(TiO2@@SiO2–O3SiC18H37) were designed to float on the surface of a pollutant solution. The photocatalytic activity of the interface photocatalysts was
evaluated by photodecomposition of RhodamineB under UV light irradiation. The results indicated that
compared with untreated nanoparticles(TiO2@@SiO2), the interface photocatalysts catalyze the photo-decomposition continuously and effectively. The mechanism of the interfacial photodecomposition is discussed.
