This morning I went and had a look at F20 & 21 per their request.
My observations (see attached pics as well):
1. These two blocks are next to each other and are smaller than the original F1A (they will send the CADCAM files later).
2. Currently used as a warehouse, if needed they can allocate these two sites which is adjacent to their chemical dispersing plant (which is why TSLWC asked them to evaluate).
3. Advantages:
a. Close proximity to the glove factories so we might be able to pipe the WGCC over (trucks will still be needed though).
4. Disadvantages:
a. There are adjacent boiler units to the location which cannot be moved. Boilers are also sensitive to vibrations, which can be caused by our AMs.
b. Space may be insufficient for limestone stockpile and also storage tanks.
c. The access road, although quite close, is from the back and already very congested. If we are to arrange limestone delivery via tipper truck (say 2-3 x daily per 30mt load) and also deliveries of finished products (also 2-3x daily) then there will be traffic congestion.
d. Proximity to glove plants – some dust may get into the other plants.
e. No room for further expansion.
5. Conclusion:
a. Please have a look at the CADCAM file and let me know your views.
b. Of the two lots I’ve seen, Lot F1A certainly seems better. However, we need to confirm on the height requirements asap (per my earlier e-mail).
