60 Day Recruitment Period for Hiro Salon- Beginning August 1st-October 1st:
•Recruit a minimum (total) of 10 stylists/colorists to interview with Hiro. Hiring them is at your discretion, as is their length of employment.
•No commission is paid to us for our recruitment effort. (We agreed previously at 10% for three months).
•Complimentary salon consulting services- offering overview of changes suggested to be made/overall revamping of salon
•Complimentary PR and assistance in attracting new customers through our concierge network, and potential bartering suggestions in exchange for press, referrals for Hiro Salon.
In exchange for the above mentioned efforts, Beauté à Porter will get:
•Beginning August 15th-September 15th- we will have those 30 days of complimentary usage of the VIP room, 0% commission paid to us for recruitment of new stylists and 0% commission paid to you for use of the room.
•After September 15th until March 15th, 2016 (6 months) Beauté à Porter will pay 10% of all commissions on VIP room services to Hiro Salon every month, for the 6 month period.
•After October 1, if we have provided you with 10 interviews, we will cease recruitment efforts, and just continue to pay 10% commissions on VIP room services until March 15th, 2016 as mentioned above.
If we do not provide you with the minimum 10 interviews for stylists/colorists in the upcoming 60 day period, then the VIP room will not be given to us, and neither party will lose money. We are paying you 10% commissions starting Sept 15th, 30 days after our collaboration starts (this give us time to organize and market the services for the VIP room).
If this partnerships delivers results, we will continue to pay 10% commission on all of our services, which we hope will be as much (if not more than your current tanning partner's commissions). So in the end, you will have more stylists, and the same money generated for renting the VIP room to us. If we do not make money in the room, we will leave the room and just ask for two weeks notice.
Regarding progress in recruitment:
We have an interview we wish to schedule for this Friday with Davey Partain. Kindly advise regarding your schedule availability.
Davey's background:
•Stylist at Serge Normant @ John Frieda for 5 years.
•Has 20-30 clients, but is not sure how many will follow him to midtown, at your salon.
•He was at 45% at Serge Normant, haircut priced around $150, I believe.
•Offering him less than 45%, would also be OK in my opinion, as he can be given a trial for 90 days to see what kind of client build-up/following he can generate.
The other stylists we discussed with you, are interested, but their move depends on many changes that the salon needs to make in order for that level of stylist to feel secure in leaving their current salon. We will discuss those details in person tomorrow.
