Funeral Inception adalah band Death metal dari Jakarta, Indonesia pada tahun 2000. Personilnya saat ini antara lain vokalis Doni Iblis, gitaris Ai Deadfinger dan Fadjar Ramadhan, drummer Gatot Hardiyanto dan basis Arslan Musyifia.
Sebelumnya nama band ini adalah Bloody Gore. Pada saat itu band tersebut menerbitkan 2 CD kecil, dengan judul Stench Of Your Perversion dan Blood Driven Vehemence.
Mei 2002, band ini mengganti namanya menjadi FUNERAL INCEPTION dan merekrut Pandi Ghebes (Sadistis) untuk mengisi bagian drummer dan membuat album Anthems Of Disenchantment di Studio Palu, Jakarta. Band ini membuat 10 lagu sebagai tanda yang membedakan Funeral Inception dari Bloody Gore.
Hingga pada saat ini, personel paling barunya adalah : Doni – Vocal Arslan Musyifa – Bass Gatot Hardiyanto – Drums Fadjar Ramadhan – Guitars Ai Deadfinger– Guitars.
The Greatest Roots of All Evil adalah single pertama dari Funeral Inception yang akan tercakup di album penuh ketiga yang akan rilis di 2012 ini. Masih terpengaruh dengan tema kekerasan beragama yang marak mengemuka di Nusantara, Funeral Inception mengaduknya dengan ramuan kecepatan, teknikal death metal. Direkam di Roots of Evil Studio di akhir 2011 hingga awal 2012, The Greatest Roots of All Evil siap diunduh gratis melalui media partner terpilih.
