On Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m., you have a chance to see the award–winning documentary “How to Change the World,” which looks at the birth of the modern environmental movement.
The film uses previously unseen footage to tell the story of a group of friends who launched the environmental movement when their 1971 protest against Nixon’s atomic bomb tests in Amchitka attracted national attention.
After sailing a fishing boat from Vancouver, Canada to Amchitka, a tiny island off the west coast of Alaska, Robert Hunter and friends created what we now know as Greenpeace — the global organization that has helped change the way we view the world and the environment.
The event also includes a Q&A from the London premiere featuring fashion designer and Greenpeace supporter Vivienne Westwood, documentary director Jerry Rothwell and Robert Hunter’s daughter Emily Hunter.
